Kendall Wanderers B took the field against Harvard Medical with some expectation after an encouraging first game draw. Faced against a severe gale force wind in the first half, Kendall found it very difficult to get ball up the field. In spite of this, Kendall managed to create the better first half chances with a few chances including hitting the post twice in the first half.

At the beginning of the 2nd half and with the winds at our backs, Kendall managed to put real pressure on Harvard and when the first goal arrived it was almost inevitable. It came from a long ball into the box where JK put himself about and all of a sudden found the ball planted on his head with 6 yards in front of goal from goalies flap. Jk reacted superbly to head the ball into the net. A well deserved goal at that point of the game.

Shortly afterwards, Kendall won a corner from the left side. Phil O Driscoll walked up smoothly with a cheeky grin on his face. What was going to happen nobody else knew except him. In Steve Staunton-esque fashion Phil whipped in a ball that went straight into the top corner. Superb strike of the ball with a slight help from the gale force wind. Kendall at this point looked in control.

With about 15 mins left in the game, Dave Miller got injured from a late tackle by one of harvards players. The following few mins were very shaky from Kendall perspective, conceding 2 goals in a dramatic swing in the general play of the game.

Kendall managed to hang on for a draw in a game that they dominated for 75 mins of the game, but was a valuable run-out as this team are starting to gel and get to know each other with a much changed squad this year.
